Iran Issues Stark Warning to U.S. Over Possible Israeli Retaliatory Strike

TEHRAN: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has issued a warning to the United States, stating that it would be held responsible for any repercussions Iran faces if it backs an expected Israeli military action against Tehran. This cautionary message underscores the escalating tensions in the region following recent hostilities.

According to Anadolu Agency, Araghchi’s statement followed comments by U.S. President Joe Biden, who acknowledged being informed about Israel’s plans concerning the timing and nature of a potential retaliatory strike against Iran. This comes in the wake of a missile attack on Israel earlier this month, which Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched on October 1 as a response to the assassinations of key figures in the region, including Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, and Iranian Brigadier General Abbas Nilforoushan.
