Inter Beat Feyenoord 2-0 to Close on Last Eight

Rotterdam: Inter conquered their Champions League last-16 tie against Feyenoord with a 2-0 away win on Wednesday night. Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez scored for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

According to Ansa News Agency, Thuram’s goal came in the 38th minute while Martinez scored soon after halftime. The return leg in Milan will be played on Tuesday, March 11. The winners will have to beat Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen to reach the semi-finals.

Speaking after the match, coach Inzaghi said he was “very satisfied” with the team. “The team is following me, there is great commitment,” he told Amazon Prime Video.
