Rome: Ilaria Sula, a 22-year-old student who went missing on March 25, was tragically discovered in a suitcase near Rome, having been killed with three stab wounds to the neck, according to an autopsy report released Thursday. The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was hemorrhagic shock.
According to Ansa News Agency, further investigations are underway to determine the exact date and time of Sula’s murder. The case took a significant turn when Sula’s 23-year-old ex-boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson, confessed after being detained. He has been charged with homicide and concealing a body.
Samson allegedly committed the murder in a Rome apartment before disposing of Sula’s body in a wooded area near the town of Poli, Lazio. Described by locals as cheerful and polite, Samson is a recent architecture graduate and former McDonald’s employee.
