Husband and Wife Found Dead in Suspected Murder-Suicide Near Pavia
Pavia: A husband and wife in their sixties were found dead in their home near Pavia Tuesday, and police suspect a probable murder-suicide in the case. The incident took place in a house located in Vicolo Castellazzo in Confienza, a small town in the province of Pavia on the border between Lomellina and Novara.
According to Ansa News Agency, the bodies of the 68-year-old husband and 66-year-old wife were discovered in their home, leading authorities to believe it was a murder-suicide. The Carabinieri of the Vigevano company are currently on site conducting scientific investigations to gather more information.
Initial indications suggest that the man killed his wife in the kitchen with a knife. Afterward, he allegedly went to an external cabin, an outbuilding of the house, where he took his own life with a hunting rifle found beside his body.
