Hungary’s PM Orbán Vows to Resist EU Influence in Commemoration Speech

Budapest: Prime Minister Viktor Orbán declared Hungary’s determination to maintain its sovereignty and resist external influence from the European Union during a speech commemorating the 68th anniversary of the 1956 revolution. Addressing attendees at Budapest’s Millenaris Park, Orbán emphasized Hungary’s resolve not to become a “puppet state” or “vassal of Brussels.”
