Budapest: The Hungarian government has submitted a proposal aimed at doubling the tax allowance for families raising children. This initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to support family welfare and ease financial burdens for parents.
According to About Hungary: Gergely Gulyás, Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, announced that the family tax credit is planned to be implemented in two steps. The first phase will commence on July 1 next year, with the second phase following on January 1, 2026. This strategic implementation allows families to steadily adjust to the new tax benefits while providing immediate financial relief.
