Heat Protocol Signed, Will Be Implemented with a Decree
Rome: A protocol on Italy’s heat emergency between the government, unions, and employers was signed at the labour ministry Wednesday and will be implemented with a subsequent decree, sources said.
According to Ansa News Agency, the protocol on climate emergencies was signed at the Ministry of Labour, in the presence of employers’ associations and confederal unions. “The measure will be implemented with a ministerial decree,” the sources said.
The part on redundancy payments (CIG), however, will go into the first available regulatory vehicle, as it cannot be included in a ministerial decree. “The protocol,” said Labour Minister Marina Calderone, “will be completed with my adoption decree that will provide a national framework and then in the many territorial agreements that will be signed by the social partners.”
