Rome: The president of the Lower House’s productive activities committee, Alberto Gusmeroli, reiterated his call on Tuesday for Stellantis Chairman John Elkann to report to parliament following the resignation of Carlos Tavares as CEO of the Italian-French-American carmaker.
According to Ansa News Agency, Gusmeroli emphasized the importance of Elkann participating in a joint hearing before the parliamentary committees of the Lower House and Senate. The purpose of this hearing would be to discuss the Stellantis group’s industrial plan, ensure production continuity, and maintain jobs within the country.
Gusmeroli highlighted that all political parties are eager to understand the strategic vision of Stellantis’s key shareholder. He stressed the necessity for ongoing dialogue within the parliament to address these issues effectively and to ensure transparency in the company’s future plans.
