Gucci Black Widow Cellmate Sentenced for Inheritance Scheme

Milan: The former cellmate of Patrizia Reggiani, famously known as the ‘Black Widow’ in the Gucci murder case, has been sentenced to six years and four months in prison. Loredana Can² was found guilty of conspiring with three accomplices to exploit Reggiani’s mental vulnerability in order to misappropriate a significant portion of her inheritance.

According to Ansa News Agency, Reggiani, now 76, was released from prison in 2016 after serving a 17-year sentence. She was convicted for orchestrating the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci, on March 27, 1995, on a Milan street. The high-profile case and Reggiani’s life story were dramatized in Ridley Scott’s film “House of Gucci,” with Lady Gaga portraying her.

The court’s decision highlights the ongoing complexities surrounding the Gucci family legacy and the notorious past of Reggiani, who remains a figure of public intrigue due to her tumultuous life and the infamous murder case.
