Bormio: Isaac Del Toro on Wednesday won the 17th stage of the Giro d’Italia from San Michele all’Adige to Bormio, covering a distance of 155 kilometers. The 21-year-old cyclist demonstrated resilience in the high mountains, including the challenging Mortirolo Pass, after facing difficulties the previous day. His victory in this stage allows him to retain the pink jersey, signaling his position as the current leader of the race.

According to Ansa News Agency, France’s Roman Bardet finished in second place, while Ecuador’s Richard Carapaz secured the third position. Del Toro’s performance in the mountains was pivotal in maintaining his lead in the overall standings, underscoring his prowess and determination in this prestigious cycling event.
