Girl, 14, Allegedly Assaulted by Boy, 14, in Rail Station

Lecce: A 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by a 14-year-old boy in a railway station bathroom near Lecce in Puglia. This incident reportedly occurred while her boyfriend, who had asked her to meet him at the station, was listening to the assault in an adjacent room on July 28, as sources revealed after police served the alleged perpetrator with an arrest warrant on Wednesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the boy has been charged with aggravated sexual violence. After nine months of investigation, he has been arrested and placed in a youth home. Meanwhile, police are examining the involvement of the boyfriend in the incident, as noted by legal sources.

The alleged assault was halted by the arrival of the girl’s mother. She returned to the station after initially taking her daughter there, concerned because her daughter was not responding to phone calls.
