Giorgia, Cristicchi, Fedez, Lauro, and Corsi Lead Sanremo Song Festival
Sanremo: Giorgia, Simone Cristicchi, Fedez, Achille Lauro, and Lucio Corsi emerged as the top five most-voted performers during the second evening of the Sanremo Song Festival. The performers were evaluated by a jury and television viewers, marking a significant moment in the 75th edition of the famous TV event.
According to Ansa News Agency, the second night of the festival was co-hosted by supermodel Bianca Balti alongside artistic director Carlo Conti. Balti co-hosted the event after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. Cristiano Malgioglio and Nino Frassica also joined as co-hosts. The evening featured a guest appearance by former Maneskin frontman Damiano David, who performed a rendition of Lucio Dalla’s 1988 song “FelicitĀ .”
The festival’s opening night on Tuesday drew substantial viewership, with an average of 12.6 million viewers and a 65.3% audience share. The event, which will conclude on Saturday, included a video message from Pope Francis. This year’s festival also marks the first time it accommodates viewers tuning in via personal computers, smartphones, or tablets.
