Generali Reports Record Net Profit of 3.8 Billion Euro for 2024
Rome: Insurance giant Generali on Thursday posted a record net profit of 3.8 billion euro in 2024, marking an increase of 5.4% compared to the previous year.
According to Ansa News Agency, Generali recorded gross premiums of 95.2 billion euro in 2024, reflecting a growth of 14.9%. This increase was driven by significant growth in both the life segment, which rose by 19.2%, and the non-life segment, which increased by 7.7%. The company reported a record operating result of 7.3 billion euro, up by 8.2%, supported by all business segments and a strong contribution from asset and wealth management.
The normalized net profit reached 3.8 billion euro, the highest in the group’s history, showing an increase of 5.4%. Meanwhile, the net profit remained almost unchanged at 3.7 billion euro, showing a slight decrease of 0.6%. Generali has proposed a dividend of 1.43 euros, an increase of 11.7%, underscoring its focus on enhancing shareholder remuneration as part of the plan concluded in 2024.
