Generali Reports First-Quarter Profit of 1.2 Billion Euros

Trieste: Generali on Thursday posted first-quarter profits of 1.2 billion euros, the Trieste-based insurer said.

According to Ansa News Agency, in the first quarter, the first of the new plan, Generali’s gross premiums reached 26.5 billion euros, marking a slight increase of 0.2%, primarily driven by the P and C segment. Life net collection surpassed three billion euros, representing an increase of 30.4%.

The operating result grew to 2,067 million euros, an increase of 8.9%, led by the P and C branch. Normalized net profit rose to 1.2 billion euros, up by 7.6%, while the net result decreased to 1,195 million euros from 1,256 million euros in the same period in 2024. The previous year’s figure included a non-recurring profit of 58 million euros net of taxes from the sale of Tua Assicurazioni.
