Gasperini Visits Roma Training Centre, Set to Sign 3-Year Deal

Rome: Gian Piero Gasperini paid a visit to AS Roma’s Trigoria training complex on Thursday, with the official announcement that he is taking over the three-time Italian champions expected in the coming days.

According to Ansa News Agency, Gasperini, who has stated his departure from Atalanta, engaged in discussions with Roma’s director of sport, Florent Ghisolfi, and his soon-to-be predecessor Claudio Ranieri, who is transitioning to an executive role at the club.

Gasperini, 67, is poised to sign a three-year contract with Roma once the details of terminating his contract with Atalanta are resolved, sources revealed. His notable nine-year tenure at the Bergamo club culminated in a victory in the 2023-24 Europa League.
