FTSE MIB Index Surges Above 43,000 Points for First Time Since 2007

Milan: The Milan bourse FTSE MIB index saw a significant acceleration on Tuesday, climbing by 0.86% to surpass the 43,000-point mark, a level it had not achieved since May 2007.

According to Ansa News Agency, several stocks contributed to this rise, with Moncler leading the gains at 5%, followed by Campari at 3.35%, Amplifon at 3.1%, Stellantis at 2.86%, and Interpump at 2.74%.

However, the index’s performance was not uniform across all sectors. The potential agreement for talks between Russia and Ukraine led to a decline in stocks such as Leonardo and Fincantieri, which dropped by 9.67% and 9.57% respectively, affecting the broader European sector.
