Fresh Femicide: Man Stabs Wife to Death Outside Turin

Turin: Saturday night saw the latest in a spate of femicides in Italy with a 51-year-old woman stabbed to death by her 57-year-old disabled husband after a row outside Turin. Police were called to the apartment at Venaria Reale after neighbours heard the woman’s screams and found her dead in the bath with multiple stab wounds to the chest and back.

According to Ansa News Agency, the man attempted to take his own life by swallowing pills and was subsequently taken to Maria Vittoria Hospital in the northwestern city, where he remains in a serious condition.
