Four Bombings in Drug Turf War in Latina in Two Weeks

Latina: Latina south of Rome has seen four bombings in a drug turf war over the past two weeks.

According to Ansa News Agency, the spate of violence led to a summit between Latina Mayor Matilde Celentano and Lazio Governor Francesco Rocca on Friday. During the meeting, the governor pledged to install 300 more surveillance cameras in the Fascist-era city, which is Lazio’s second biggest after Rome.

The bombs have targeted apartment fronts in the city, which was founded by Benito Mussolini in 1932 after he reclaimed the Pontine Marshes in the late 1920s.
