Rabat: Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, stated his arrival in Morocco, acknowledging the country’s significant contribution to peace in the Middle East through its earlier accession to the Abraham Accords.
According to About Hungary, Minister Szijjártó shared his sentiments on social media, reflecting on a year marked by tragic events in the region. He expressed optimism as a ceasefire was announced between Israel and Lebanon, a development he believes will enable people in both nations to return to their homes and live peacefully.
Minister Szijjártó emphasized the importance of the international community’s role in ensuring that all parties involved respect the agreement, which serves the interests of everyone in the region. He remarked that a ceasefire and cessation of fighting are always welcome news.
In his statements, Szijjártó also expressed hope for positive developments in Ukraine, suggesting that the next piece of encouraging news might come from the neighboring region.
