Fiorentina Midfielder Edoardo Bove Recovering Well After On-Field Collapse.

Florence: Fiorentina midfielder Edoardo Bove is reportedly in a stable condition following a frightening incident where he collapsed during a Serie A match against Inter on Sunday. The club’s General Manager, Alessandro Ferrari, provided an update after visiting Bove at Florence’s Careggi hospital on Monday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Ferrari expressed relief over Bove’s improved condition. “We are much happier and more relaxed than we were yesterday,” Ferrari stated. He explained that Bove was “lucid, alert, with his (usual) desire to laugh and joke,” after the collapse that halted Sunday’s game. The young player, aged 22, has communicated with his teammates and has encouraged them to focus on their upcoming Italian Cup tie against Empoli on Wednesday.

Sunday’s match was abruptly suspended as medical personnel attended to Bove on the field. Initial tests conducted by the club have fortunately ruled out any acute damage to both the central nervous and cardio-respiratory systems. While these results prov
ide some reassurance, further tests are planned to determine the underlying cause of the incident.
