Fincantieri to Build Two Ships for Over pound 2 Billion for AIDA
Trieste: Fincantieri and Carnival Corporation and plc have signed an agreement for the design and construction of two new cruise ships for AIDA Cruises, a leading company in the German-speaking cruise market, the Italian shipbuilder announced.
According to Ansa News Agency, the value of the deal exceeds two billion euros. This marks the first order that AIDA Cruises has entrusted to Fincantieri. The Italian group stated that this project will strengthen its strategic partnership with Carnival Corporation.
The two ships are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2030 and the end of 2031. Each ship will feature approximately 2,100 passenger cabins and will be equipped with multi-fuel engines, enhancing their operational capabilities.
