Rome: Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna has announced that the luxury Italian sports car manufacturer is prepared to respond if the United States, under President Donald Trump’s administration, imposes significant tariffs on European auto imports. Vigna made this statement during an appearance at CNBC’s Converge Live event held in Singapore, although he refrained from providing specific details on the countermeasures.
According to Ansa News Agency, Vigna indicated that Ferrari is awaiting the official announcement of the tariff figures, which Trump has suggested could be “around 25%” on EU carmakers. He emphasized that the company will closely monitor developments over the next few weeks to assess the situation and respond accordingly.
Vigna also highlighted that, like other companies, Ferrari is facing the same uncertainties regarding potential tariffs, and reassured that the company remains committed to its customers, placing them at the core of its strategic considerations.
