Ferrari Optimistic About F1 Constructors’ Title Hopes After Qatar Race.

Doha: Ferrari Team Principal Fred Vasseur has expressed satisfaction that the Italian glamour team is still in the running for the Formula One constructors’ title going into next week’s season-ending Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi after Sunday’s race in Qatar. Ferrari managed to reduce McLaren’s lead at the top of the table from 30 to 21 points. This was achieved through Charles Leclerc’s second-place finish and Carlos Sainz’s sixth-place finish in Qatar.

According to Ansa News Agency, Vasseur remarked, “We are still in the running, anything is possible with a 21 point gap on McLaren. It’s nice to get to Abu Dhabi in this position.” The Ferrari team is hopeful as the Abu Dhabi circuit is expected to favor them slightly more. Vasseur added, “With Verstappen and Mercedes competitive again, the outcome is unpredictable,” indicating the challenging competition they face.
