Fencing Worlds: Men’s Sabre Team Grab Italy’s 2nd Gold
Tbilisi: The Italian quartet made up of Luca Curatoli, Michele Gallo, Matteo Neri, and Pietro Torre won the gold medal in men’s team sabre at the Fencing World Championships in Tbilisi on Monday, defeating Hungary 45-37 in the final.
According to Ansa News Agency, this victory marked Italy’s sixth medal of the championships and their second gold. The first gold was secured by the team of Guillaume Bianchi, Filippo Macchi, Tommaso Marini, and Alessio Foconi in the men’s team foil event over the weekend.
