Fencing: Curatoli and Cristino Secure Bronze Medals at World Championships

Tbilisi: Italy’s Luca Curatoli and Anna Cristino won bronze medals at the fencing world championships in Tbilisi on Friday. Curatoli claimed a joint-third position in the men’s sabre category after being defeated by France’s Jean Philippe Patrice with a score of 15-13 in the semi-final.

According to Ansa News Agency, Anna Cristino also faced a defeat in the semi-finals, competing in the women’s foil. She was bested by French opponent Pauline Ranvier, with a final score of 15-11, securing her place as a bronze medalist.
