Farnesina Targeted by Mail Bombing After Flotilla Attack

Rome: The Italian foreign ministry, the Farnesina, was targetted by a mail bombing by a counter-cultural, leftist and anarchist ‘social centre’ on Wednesday following an overnight drone attack on the Global Sumud Flotilla for Gaza, the Farnesina said. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically the Crisis Unit and the Minister’s Office, were hit, it said.

According to Ansa News Agency, the attack, which sent thousands of fake emails, had the effect of hindering the work of the Crisis Unit, which is currently in contact with Italian citizens aboard the Gaza Flotilla vessels.
