Salerno: The ex partner of a 42-year-old Italian woman who was discovered dead in her apartment near Salerno on Easter Sunday evening has been apprehended on suspicion of her murder. This incident marks Italy’s latest case of femicide.

According to Ansa News Agency, police have stated that they possess “serious elements” against the suspect, who remains unnamed, in the murder investigation of Carmela Quaranta at her residence in Mercato San Severino. The evidence reportedly includes cellphone and GPS tracking data, which have significantly contributed to the arrest.
