European Cycling Championships: Ganna Time Trial Silver

France: Italy’s Filippo Ganna won the silver medal in the elite time trial at the European Cycling Championships underway in France on Wednesday. The Italian champion had to bow out only to the current dominator of the discipline, Belgian Remco Evenepoel, who, after winning gold at the World Championships in Rwanda, also achieved a continental title.

According to Ansa News Agency, Evenepoel finished his race with a time of 28:26, at an average speed of 50.63 km/h, leading Ganna by 43 seconds. The bronze medal went to Denmark’s Niklas Larsen, 68 seconds behind.

Also competing for Italy was Lorenzo Milesi, who finished in tenth place.
