Rome: Energy giant ENI and the Renault Group have signed an agreement to identify and develop future opportunities for collaboration in the decarbonization of the transport sector. The Italian company is returning to the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, becoming the team’s Official Energy and Fuel Partner through a multi-year agreement, according to a joint statement issued on Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the agreement involves the companies working together to identify joint business development paths across sectors such as electric mobility infrastructure, smart mobility services, and energy supply solutions that can support the transition process. This collaboration is aimed at advancing the decarbonization efforts within the transport industry.

The statement also highlights ENI’s return to an Enstone-affiliated team, marking its first involvement with an F1 team since its partnership with Benetton in 2000.
