Rome: The driver of a bus carrying supporters of the Pistoia basketball team has died after allegedly being struck by a brick during an attack by fans of the Rieti Sebastiani Basket club. The incident took place following a second-tier match on Sunday, leaving the sports community in shock.

According to Ansa News Agency, the bus was attacked by Rieti fans on the A2 highway as it was leaving the central Italian city after Pistoia’s 88-73 victory. This tragic event has prompted authorities to take swift action. Police have initiated an investigation and have already questioned several Rieti supporters in connection with the incident.
