Documentary Festival Highlights Cooperation Between Italy and Scandinavia

Copenhagen: On the occasion of CPH:DOX 2025, the International Documentary Film Festival being held in the Danish capital from March 19 to March 30, an event organized in collaboration with ICE (Italian Trade Agency) was hosted at the Italian Residence. This event was dedicated to the production, promotion, and distribution of documentaries, with the aim of fostering cooperation between Italian and Scandinavian professionals in the industry.

According to Ansa News Agency, the event featured notable participants such as Massimo Arvat, a producer and director, and Alessio Massatani, who is responsible for CinecittĀ ‘s international promotion. They were joined by Soren Tarp, a producer at Det Danske Filminstitut, and Thor Hampus Bank, a producer and director at GotFat Productions. The session was moderated by Francesco Giai Via, a programmer and trainer. The participants engaged in a dialogue with many representatives from the Italian, Danish, and broader Scandinavian documentary industry, sharing experiences, projects, and visions while exploring possibilities for collaboration and new connections.

A key highlight of the event was the interest shown in the Italian-Danish discussion regarding joint projects and cooperative efforts. This interest underscores the potential for future collaborations and the strengthening of ties between documentary producers and directors from these regions.
