‘Dangerous’ Italian Rapper Baby Gang Arrested for Illegal Weapon Possession
Milan: Italian rapper Baby Gang was arrested on Thursday after being found in possession of a semiautomatic pistol with its serial number scratched off and a magazine with nine cartridges in a hotel room in Milan. The 24-year-old artist, who has Moroccan roots and whose real name is Zaccaria Mouhib, was taken to Milan’s San Vittore Prison following a series of previous encounters with law enforcement.
According to Ansa News Agency, prosecutors described Mouhib as “a very dangerous person, who manifests an obvious contempt for the authorities and law enforcement, including in his songs and performances, and habitually uses real weapons, including war weapons, in the filming of his videos.” This description was part of the request for the arrest to be confirmed, as stated by sources.
The prosecutors further alleged that the rapper “enlists the support of a criminal network specializing in drug trafficking” to obtain the weapons. The sources highlighted Mouhib’s repeated involvement in illegal activities, contributing to his reputation as a notorious figure in the music and law enforcement communities.
