Damiano David’s New Single “Next Summer” Set for February 28 Release

Rome: Damiano David’s new single, “Next Summer,” will be released on Friday, February 28. The Maneskin frontman, who is currently on a solo break from the world-renowned Roman rock band and recently captivated the audience at the Sanremo Song Festival, made this announcement on Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Damiano David left a lasting impression at Sanremo with an emotional rendition of “Felicit ” by Lucio Dalla and electrified the Ariston Theater with his performance of “Born With a Broken Heart.” “Next Summer” follows the release of “Born With a Broken Heart” and “Silverlines,” which marked the beginning of the artist’s solo journey. Additionally, Damiano presented a special reinterpretation of Mark Ronson’s 2018 hit “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart,” featuring Miley Cyrus, on Spotify for Valentine’s Day.

Damiano describes “Next Summer” as initially appearing to be about young love and an unfulfilled summer romance. However, he emphasizes that the song holds a deeper meaning, serving as a metaphor for life. It explores themes of self-imprisonment, fears, insecurities, and the challenges of embracing change and viewing life from different perspectives during pivotal moments.

Meanwhile, anticipation is building for the World Tour 2025, which will see Damiano perform over 30 dates across Europe, Australia, North America, South America, and Asia. The first Italian show is scheduled for October 7 at the Unipol Forum in Milan. The October 11 concert in Rome at the Palazzo dello Sport is already sold out, prompting the addition of a second date on October 12 due to popular demand.
