Croatia’s Film Festivals Highlight Italian Cinema with Ambassador Trichilo’s Participation

Zagreb: The Ambassador of Italy to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, made a notable appearance at two prominent film festivals in Zagreb. These events aimed at promoting Italian cinema and culture in Croatia.

According to Ansa News Agency, the first event was the European Film Festival, supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, the City of Zagreb, and various cultural institutes, including those representing Italy. Hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the festival showcased two Italian films. “Moments of Negligible Happiness,” directed by Daniele Luchetti, and “Eterno visionario,” co-written and directed by Michele Placido, captivated audiences. The latter film, released to commemorate the 90th anniversary of Luigi Pirandello’s Nobel Prize in Literature, delves into the public and private life of the iconic writer.

Additionally, the Zagreb Design, Art and Architecture Film Festival featured the documentary “Nuvola Lavazza Torino.” This film, highlighted at other prestigious events such as the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Milan Triennale, explores the iconic contemporary space of Turin’s Nuvola. Designed by Cino Zucchi, the documentary takes viewers through various parts of the multipurpose center, emphasizing its role in urban regeneration and Italian cultural representation. Ambassador Trichilo, in his address, underscored the project’s significance in reflecting Italian culture, environmental sustainability, and its integration within the local community fabric.
