Confimprese Italia Showcases Italian Excellence at Expo 2025 Osaka

Osaka: Business association Confimprese Italia has brought the event ‘Italian Excellence Meets the World. Stories and Projects of Made in Italy’ to the Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka to celebrate and promote the quality, creativity, innovation, and sustainability typical of Italian-made products and projects. The stories of Italian companies showcased at the Italy Pavilion are connected to local traditions and cultural heritage, although they are also the product of constant innovation reflecting the ability to transform secular traditions into global achievements.

According to Ansa News Agency, Guido D’Amico, the president of Confimprese Italia, expressed pride in participating with a large delegation of businesses at a Pavilion admired by many. The event at Expo 2025 Osaka is seen as significant for the year and beyond. D’Amico highlighted the companies’ understanding of the event’s importance, expecting substantial results as Japan and Asia are crucial markets.

Mario Vattani, Commissioner General for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, emphasized the Italy Pavilion’s role in hosting numerous events and B2B meetings over the past four months. The event also saw participation from Italy’s Consul General in Osaka, Filippo Manara, and Gianpaolo Bruno, director of the ICE Agency’s Tokyo office. Emma Evangelista, responsible for communications at the National Microcredit Agency, moderated the meeting and shared insights on European and Italian practices benefiting 29,000 companies.

Muharrem Salihu, CEO of Mela Holding group and president of Confimprese Italia in Venice, shared his company’s journey, which spans various sectors including hospitality, airport security, real estate, and textiles. Salihu mentioned a collaboration with B and B Hotels, aiming to cater to Asian tour operators’ needs, particularly from Japan.

Francesca Torri, CEO and founder of Magnum Travel, discussed her approach to offering tourists a personal experience of Italy. She recounted her time living with a Japanese family, which deepened her understanding of Japanese culture. Torri’s company focuses on providing tourists an opportunity to engage with Italian culture, cuisine, art, and history.
