Potenza: A country that protects you cannot be insulted, Deputy Foreign Minister Edmondo Cirielli emphasized in response to the recent clash at the White House between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and United States President Donald Trump. Cirielli highlighted the importance of maintaining a respectful relationship with allies who contribute significantly to security.

According to Ansa News Agency, Cirielli expressed his views during a discussion with journalists in Potenza. He referred to the substantial military support provided by the United States in Europe, including soldiers, ships, and planes, which are financially backed by the U.S. economy. Cirielli, a member of Premier Giorgia Meloni’s right-wing Brothers of Italy party, underscored the need for realism and humility when engaging with a nation that offers such protection.
