Challenges for Made in Italy, Time for Courage Says Mattarella

Rome: President Sergio Mattarella stated Wednesday that Made in Italy is confronting significant challenges and emphasized the need for courage in these times. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Ariston founder and former public works minister Francesco Merloni, who passed away last October at the age of 99, Mattarella remarked on the demanding nature of the current period and its implications for Made in Italy.

According to Ansa News Agency, Mattarella highlighted the necessity for transformation in the face of crises, insisting that such times require courage. He stressed the importance of forward-thinking, stating, “We must look forward, not back. We need the courage to bet on the future.” The President’s remarks underscore the pressing need for innovation and boldness as Italy navigates through its current economic and industrial challenges.
