Carpet Bombing and Deaths in Gaza Highlighted by Italian Priest
Gaza: An Italian priest working in a church in Gaza has reported ongoing bombing, deaths, and destruction throughout the Strip.
According to Ansa News Agency, Father Gabriel Romanelli, who serves as the parish priest of the Holy Family in Gaza, conveyed the severity of the situation through a video message to the ‘Neverland’ Foundation. He described the widespread bombings that have resulted in numerous casualties and significant destruction.
Father Romanelli expressed concern for the safety of the entire population, highlighting the fear that grips the civilians, who constitute the majority of Gaza’s residents. He emphasized that Gaza City alone is home to over a million people, all of whom are facing imminent danger.
The priest detailed the dire shortages in Gaza, noting the lack of essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, and energy. His message conveyed a sense of urgency and called for global recognition of the plight of Gaza’s children by advocating for them to receive the Nobel Peace Prize.
