Carlo Ancelotti Receives Suspended One-Year Sentence for Tax Offences in Spain

Madrid: Italian supercoach and current Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti has been handed a one-year suspended sentence for tax offences committed during his tenure in Spain. Ancelotti, who managed Real Madrid, leading them to numerous victories, left the club for the Brazilian national team after his contract ended in May.

According to Ansa News Agency, the charges against Ancelotti stem from the 2014 fiscal year, which marked his initial year in the Spanish capital. Although he was acquitted of similar charges for the following year, 2015, Ancelotti has been ordered to pay a fine of 386,000 euros.

The 66-year-old Ancelotti, who boasts a rich history as a former player for Italy, Roma, and Milan, has also established an impressive managerial career. He has secured the UEFA Champions League title five times, a managerial record. Additionally, he is distinguished as the only manager to have won league titles in all of Europe’s top five leagues.
