Cardinals Expected to Set Date of Conclave
Vatican City: Cardinals are expected to set a date for the conclave to elect a successor to Pope Francis at a meeting on Monday after Saturday’s funeral of the 88-year-old Argentine pontiff.
According to Ansa News Agency, many members of the College of Cardinals joined thousands of mourners in paying homage to Francis at his tomb at the Basilica of Saint Mary Major on Sunday. This was the first day the tomb was open to visits after his remains were laid to rest there following the funeral.
