Camorra Fugitive from Hydra Probe Caught in Colombia
Cartagena de Indias: A leading fugitive from the Camorra, who was involved in the recent Hydra probe targeting an alliance of Italy’s three main mafias in and around Milan, was apprehended in Colombia on Tuesday.
According to Ansa News Agency, Emanuele Gregorini was arrested in Cartagena de Indias through the collaborative efforts of international police forces. Gregorini’s capture marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
The Hydra probe has revealed substantial connections in Milan and the Lombardy region between Calabria’s ‘Ndrangheta, recognized as Italy’s wealthiest and most influential mafia, Cosa Nostra from Sicily, and the Camorra from Naples. This investigation aims to dismantle the organized crime networks operating within and beyond Italy’s borders.
