Burkina, Italy Funds Safety Project for Girls

Ouagadougou: Italy funded a project to strengthen the safety of girls in the Liptako Gourma region, a territory in eastern Burkina Faso, southwestern Niger and a small portion of central-eastern Mali. The project aims to fully protect girls from all forms of exploitation and to ensure their access to quality education.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian Embassy in Burkina Faso reported that the funding allocated for this initiative amounts to EUR 1.97 million. The project represents a significant investment in creating a safer and more supportive environment for young girls in the region, focusing on their well-being and educational opportunities.
