Broadcasters Use Starlink Amid St Peter’s Comms Blackout

St Peter’s: World broadcasters in St Peter’s for the papal conclave are using Elon Musk’s Starlink internet service to get around the comms blackout around the Sistine Chapel.

According to Ansa News Agency, with a camera, microphone, and Starlink kit, several TV crews are relying on Musk’s company’s internet connection to report on the conclave from St. Peter’s Square. This approach also helps to avoid problems related to the blocking of telephone coverage ordered to guarantee the isolation of the cardinals in the Sistine Chapel.
