Brignone Triumphs in Aare Giant Slalom World Cup

Aare: Italy’s Federica Brignone maintained her impressive form and solidified her position at the top of the overall World Cup standings by securing victory in the Giant Slalom race held in Aare, Sweden.

According to Ansa News Agency, this victory marks the 36th World Cup win in Brignone’s career and her ninth of the current season. She now leads the standings with 1,294 points, holding a 322-point advantage over her closest competitor, Lara Gut-Behrami of Switzerland, who finished ninth in the race.

Brignone’s teammate, Sofia Goggia, faced a setback as she crashed out during the second run. Goggia had been in second place following the first run before her unfortunate exit.
