Bence Rétvári: The majority agree with limiting the use of smartphones at school

According to surveys, the majority of respondents agree with the restriction of smartphone use at school and the related decree, said the parliamentary state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior and the vice president of the KDNP in Budapest on Tuesday.

Bence Rétvári said: the device can only be used in the classroom, during class time, if it specifically helps the lesson.

– he added – since 450,000 laptops were distributed to the students, and this year another 100,000 will be distributed so that all students can learn about the various tools and learning content at their skill level.

According to the latest surveys, 94 percent of those interviewed in the lower school, 89 percent in the upper school, and 73 percent in the high school supported the restriction of mobile phone use during school hours, explained Bence Rétvári.
