Andrea Magugliani Sworn In as Honorary Vice Consul in Bergen

Bergen: Andrea Magugliani has been officially sworn in as the Honorary Vice Consul in Bergen, with responsibilities covering Vestland County. The ceremony was marked by the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Oslo, Stefano Nicoletti.

According to Ansa News Agency, Magugliani brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He holds a degree in Economics and Development Studies and has built an international career in strategic communication, project management, and external relations. He is currently the Head of Communication and External Relations for the Strategic Marine Area at the University of Bergen. In this capacity, he coordinates projects and partnerships with global entities such as Netflix, National Geographic, and OceanX.

Magugliani’s career also includes significant roles at the University of Bergen’s Pandemic Centre and Communication Department, along with experience in the Norwegian energy sector and international projects with the United Nations. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the consular network’s services for the more than 1,000 compatriots residing in Vestland County, an area that is gaining political and economic importance in Norway. Ambassador Nicoletti emphasized the strengthened support network that Magugliani’s appointment brings to the region.
