Ambassador Paolo Trichilo’s Mission to Karlovac Promotes Italian Culture and Bilateral Cooperation
Karlovac: The Ambassador of Italy in Zagreb, Paolo Trichilo, carried out a mission to Karlovac, the capital of the region of the same name located in the center of Croatia. He participated in the “Italika” initiative, organized by the Karlovac School of Music with the aim of promoting the Italian language, art and literature, under the guidance of Prof. Milunic, president of the Association of Italian Teachers of Croatia.
According to Ansa News Agency, during the event, students from the music school and high school in Karlovac performed opera and light music pieces, recited poems, and presented sketches from masterpieces of notable Italian cultural figures such as Dante Alighieri, Francesco Petrarca, and Carlo Collodi. The event also highlighted contemporary icons like Vittorio De Sica and Domenico Modugno. The initiative was successful and was appreciated for its diverse presentation of Italian culture.
In addition to the cultural event, Ambassador Trichilo visited the plant of Istrabenz Plini, part of the Italian SIAD group, which specializes in the treatment of industrial and sanitary gases. During this visit, he met with both Italian and local management, as well as the vice-president of the region and the deputy mayor of the city. These discussions reviewed the current status of bilateral cooperation and explored new opportunities for strengthening relations in areas of mutual interest.
