Ambassador of Italy in Bratislava Discusses Agricultural Collaboration with Slovak Secretary

Bratislava: The Ambassador of Italy in Bratislava, Gianclemente De Felice, held a meeting with the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic. The discussions focused on strengthening the bilateral partnership at both institutional and business levels.

According to Ansa News Agency, the meeting explored opportunities presented by upcoming sector fairs in Slovakia, notably Agrokomplex, an annual event that will mark its 50th anniversary in 2025. The discussions also reviewed new opportunities in agricultural and agri-food sector research, involving universities from both Italy and Slovakia. There was a mutual hope for increased collaboration within the European framework to maximize synergies in agricultural policies. The Ambassador also conveyed his appreciation for Bratislava’s support of Italy’s bid to have the Mediterranean diet recognized as part of UNESCO’s intangible heritage.
