Ambassador Baldocci Visits Saudi Province of Aseer to Foster Bilateral Ties

Aseer: Italian Ambassador to Riyadh, Carlo Baldocci, visited the Saudi province of Aseer, where he was received by His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, governor of the province. The meeting provided an opportunity to initiate a concrete and wide-ranging dialogue on strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration between Italy and the province, particularly through synergies with local development authorities, King Khalid University, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to Ansa News Agency, this visit aligns with the broader goals of enhancing bilateral relations between Italy and Saudi Arabia, as outlined in the strategic partnership launched last January during Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s visit to the Kingdom. Ambassador Baldocci expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and his admiration for the development trajectory undertaken by the province.

During the visit, concrete initiatives were discussed to strengthen relations between the Aseer province and Italy. These initiatives include restoration and archaeological cooperation, tourism, land development, and university collaboration, aiming to make Aseer a focal point of Italian engagement in the kingdom.
