Acquaroli Secures Second Term as Marche Governor with Strong Support

Rome: Centre-right Governor Francesco Acquaroli has successfully been re-elected as the Governor of Marche, with voters acknowledging his diligent efforts over the past five years, stated Italian Premier Giorgia Meloni, leader of the right-wing Brothers of Italy (FdI) party. This announcement followed the concession of his centre-left opponent, Matteo Ricci.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni took to social media to express her satisfaction with Acquaroli’s victory, which saw him securing approximately 53% of the votes compared to Ricci’s 47%. She emphasized that the voters’ decision was a testament to Acquaroli’s unwavering dedication to the region and its citizens. Meloni also expressed confidence that Acquaroli will continue to serve with the same vigor and commitment that marked his previous term.

Acquaroli, who hails from Marche’s capital, Macerata, made history five years ago by becoming the mid-Adriatic region’s first centre-right governor. His re-election signifies continued support from the popu
lace, as he prepares to embark on another term with renewed vigor and determination.
